GROSSE POINTE FARMS, MI - Local artist Peter Tkacz has been selected to exhibit his artwork titled, “Gordie Howe International Bridge Noir,” at the Grosse Pointe Artists Association (GPAA) gallery, located inside the historic War Memorial at 32 Lakeshore Drive, Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan.

The selected piece, Gordie Howe International Bridge Noir is a 20"x40" lustre print mounted on Dibond, explores the bridge in it’s nocturnal environment, surrounded by urban, industrial, and natural Detroit River landscape, before its opening.

"Having my work showcased at The War Memorial alongside other talented artists is a real privileged. The exhibit has many interesting works centred around the theme, Our Rivers, Our Lakes," said Peter Tkacz. Opening night, the exhibited was hosted by director Karen Pope, and presented by juror Alex Gilford, an artist and park ranger. Alex Gilford presented a short background, along with showcasing some of his wonderful open air oil paintings. Following the dissemination of awards, artists were provided an opportunity to speak about their exhibited work.

The exhibition is free and open to the public during normal gallery hours: Monday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The exhibit runs from October 1st to December 4th, 2026.
